Today we will talk to Mr Carlos Lozano Casas of Manipulados Lisma S.L.U., the Spanish company that has chosen Gambini to install a new hybrid line, combining consumer and professional production. This investment combines flexibility and performance, aiming to optimize space, production, and customer satisfaction.

What led you to choose Gambini?
After evaluating several alternatives, we realized that Gambini was the partner that best met our needs, not only technically, but also on a human level. Gambini was able to offer us a solution that met all the objectives we had identified and offered appropriate solutions to the critical points of this highly complex project. The approach was always direct and transparent, with prompt and available technical support. This closeness gave us confidence: any issue was addressed and resolved quickly, respecting the established deadlines.
What was your production requirement?
We needed a converting line that would allow us to transition from consumer products to away-from-home ones, optimizing our space and resources, while keeping pace with production and maintaining the quality of both products.
Gambini designed a customized line for us, tailored to these specific needs.
How is this hybrid line made and how does it work?
This line allows us to produce both low and high-density rolls, and to quickly switch between products, thanks to automated core changes and embossing settings.
We conducted an in-depth study on the most suitable types of embossing, achieving superior quality and softness, combined with higher cutting rates and production speeds.
The rewinder has also made a big leap ahead: we can now maintain uniformity even on high-volume products with fast lamination. Gambini has helped us optimize the space in our factory: we can now essentially count on two lines in one.
What kind of products can you produce today with this new hybrid line?
The range has expanded: today we produce hygiene products for both the consumer and the professional markets. This dual vocation allows us to respond to diverse requests and position ourselves more competitively. We can adapt to the specific needs of each customer, even when tenders or special requests arrive. In a constantly evolving market, this ability to customize and adapt quickly is a key competitive advantage. And the line guarantees us extraordinary flexibility.

Have you already noticed tangible improvements in terms of production and quality?
Yes, especially on high-volume products, where we had bottlenecks. Thanks to the Gambini line, we’ve overcome these critical issues, speeding up on product change-overs. Overall efficiency has increased; and costs are also more under control.
How did you communicate this innovation externally?
This line has allowed us to complete a previously incomplete range, strengthening existing relationships and opening up new opportunities.
Furthermore, the fact that Manipulados Lisma continues to invest in advanced machinery conveys an image of stability and growth. It’s a clear message we send to the market: we are a dynamic company, ready to always take a step forward and develop, to always offer the best to our customers.
What challenges and opportunities do you see for the future?
Our strength is our ability to adapt to new trends and industry developments. Even in these challenging times, we want to strengthen relationships with our customers and continue to diversify our markets and products. It’s good to grow, but in a controlled and sustainable manner: this is our priority for the coming years.
